Leah Remini (born Leah Marie Remini; June 15, 1970) is an American actress best known for her role as Carrie Heffernan on the television show The King of Queens. She starred as Elle along with Kevin James in Kevin Can Wait, which premiered on September 19, 2016.
Remini was born in Brooklyn to Vicki Marshall, a schoolteacher who later worked at The Learning Company and raised her three children alone after separating from their father, George Remini, an attorney restaurateur. Her father is of Italian descent and her mother has Welsh ancestry.
Remini married Angelo Pagan at age 18 in November 1988, but the couple divorced four years later on July 16, 1992. In 1994, she then married Ilario Pantano; they have one child.
